As America Celebrates Christmas, Rev. Franklin Graham Says Secular 'War' Rages Against Christians

Friday, 24 Dec 2010

By David A. Patten and Kathleen Walter

As Americans gather with their families to celebrate Christmas, the Rev. Franklin Graham decries the continuing cultural “war” against Christ and his believers.

The campaign against Christianity rages “not just in America, but in many countries around the world,” the noted evangelist and son of world-renowned preacher Billy Graham declares during an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV.

Also during his Christmas message to America via Newsmax, Graham reveals that his inspirational father fully intends to return to the pulpit. The last time the elder

Churches and the declining of Christianity

It is evident that the churches are not promoting God but are attempting to consolidate their members by compromising the word of God.
The Pope has traveled to the Mideast to visit Israel and Palestine and Notre Dame invited President Obama, an abortionist, to speak at their graduation and many other churches are not paying attention to the salvation of their membership; the churches must pay attention to such things as homosexuality, murder of the unborn, the elderly and the handicap, sexual permissiveness and all other sorts of moral failures.
Unfortunately the church leaders appear to be more concerned with fitting in instead of guiding people to

Religion versus church

Religion is the understanding and belief in something divine.

Church is the strings attached to religion by men to incorporate more men into it and hold them there. These strings added to religion is the means to profit in the world of churches.

Churches throughout time have added lines of rules that are designed to hold the people or bind them to the particular church, denomination or belief.

In the past churches have added the murder of children ranging from birth to a couple of years old, murder of people deemed as lower class, people of the other religion and by skin color.

Today churches are adapting to the acceptance of perversion and abortionist murders.

People emulate what they see so God rarely appears; in the past The Word, Christ, appeared to Adam and Eve slaughtered an animal to clothe them.

Later people slaughtered animals to present to God for good luck, good crops, correct sex of children and so forth until it spread to the sacrifice of their own children so God destroyed the way of life that people were practicing with a great flood and started over but people persevered and continued their sacrifice practices again going more and more into the depth of evil so God came to earth to become the final sacrifice by spilling his blood and dying, raising from the dead and returning to heaven. This seems to have worked for thousands of years and has saved the lives of millions of children and animals.

Today the practice of stepping away from the word of God is in full swing by a minority but they are loud and have the unending help of those who control the courts, the presidency, congress, the media, and churches so they appear to be the majority.

Of course they are not the majority but now the phrase “silent majority” is causing more deaths and more perversion than any of the loud immoral people are; people watch but do nothing about what they do not believe in such as abortion, immoral activities and gay marriage. The silent majority are doing nothing when they see their country being torn apart by the immoral.

Change is needed but not the change offered by our new president.

Devo for week of April 13, 2009

Good morning one and all, hope you had a great weekend.  Wow Easter 2009!! Where does the time go, hopefully your Easter was filled with family, friends, food and lots of fun, hopefully it was filled with “Jesus” and worship to Him. I wanted to share a thought from the book “ A Gentle Thunder”.

Call It Grace

Being made right with God by his grace, we could have the hope of receiving the life that never ends.

Titus 3:7 (NCV)

You may be decent. You may pay taxes and kiss your kids and sleep with a clean conscience. But apart from Christ you aren't holy. So how can you go to heaven?

Only believe. Accept the work already done, the work of Jesus on the cross.

Accept the goodness of Jesus Christ. Abandon your own works and accept his. Abandon your own decency and accept his. Stand before God in his name, not yours.

It's that easy? There was nothing easy about it at all. The cross was heavy, the blood was real, and the price was extravagant. It would have bankrupted you or me, so he paid it for us. Call it simple. Call it a gift. But don't call it easy.

Call it what it is. Call it grace.

Hope you have a GREAT week and don’t forget Grace.

Shalom

Building Life Properly

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds.

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,

his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work.

If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward.

If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

Easter Services In Bicknell

Bicknell is fortunate to have churches who take seriously the responsibility of attending to our spiritual and even physical needs.

While I am sure that all Easter services were good for the soul this morning the Word of Life Church Easter Concert this morning was truly inspiring to me.

What talent! And a terrific ability to get the Easter message in the proper context to be an inspiration to me and all the folks who attended.

Friend may be avoiding God with barrage of questions

By BILLY GRAHAM / My Answer Saturday, July 5, 2008

A good friend of mine has never wanted anything to do with religion or Jesus, and every time we talk about it he throws up all sorts of questions I can't answer. Is it hopeless to try to witness to someone like this? I wish I knew how to get through to him. L.R.

No, it isn't hopeless to share your faith with anyone, even someone who asks questions you can't answer. Humanly speaking, no one was a less likely candidate to become a Christian than Saul of Tarsus. But God intervened and he met Christ, and Saul the persecutor became Paul the preacher (see Acts 9:1-19).

And that is the key: Only God can convict someone of their sins and their need of Christ, and only he can bring them to himself.

Jesus said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44). Does that mean our witness isn't important? No, of course not. But God is able to take our witness and use it — even when it

Three Religions Known To Mankind

On the earth today there are three separate religions just as there were thousands of years ago. A person would suspect that the three would be Christian, Buddhism, and Jewish or any number of other names or activities; but the actual three are the worship of God, agnostic, and atheist. Throughout time these three have been with mankind and has caused mankind many problems from wars with one another to wars with God and to the slow loss of the human will to live.

The worship of God entails the belief and the worship of a supreme being who is and was the creator of all things in heaven, in earth and on earth for all time. The belief that God has laid out a plan for mankind to follow that will provide him with all things as long as mankind follows the laws of God.

Agnostic is the worship of “not knowing or understanding” enough about God to believe completely in the supreme being; for them to just believe entails the continuing search for a faith that actually fits into their life styles. Their faith must bend

FOOD FOR THOUGHT; Not Such a Tasty Morsel, But Very Good for Your Heart

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution, and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him?  I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too.  But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.  In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How God could let something like this Happen?" (Regarding Katrina)

Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.  And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shall not kill; thou shall not steal; and love your neighbor as yourself.  And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped, and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

It’s funny how simple it is for people to trash God; then wonder why the world's going to hell.  Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.  Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail, and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.  Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?  Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.  Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not, then just discard it... no one will know you did.  But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.

Help Save The Life Of An Afghan Man Who Refuses To Deny Christ

Dear johnstanczak.com,

Visit the new AFA Superstore today! Abdul Rahman, 41, faces death because he converted from Islam to Christianity and refuses to convert back to Islam.

His family accused him of being a Christian. During his trial last Thursday in Kabul, Rahman confessed that he converted from Islam to Christianity 16 years ago while working as a medical aid worker for an international Christian group helping Afghan refugees in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.

On Lesbian Adoption

Its one step away from pedophile adoptions which I imagine will be the next step down in the perversion adaptations of our sociality for orphan children’s rights behind Lesbian Adoption and abortion.

Of course when these children grow up, without the aborted ones of course, we will be wondering why America has no moral base any longer. The answer of course is that we taught them our morals with comments and beliefs like this comment:

“The fact that this question is even asked is a sign of how obsessed we are with limiting people's rights. Anyone who is able to raise a child in a loving, stable environment should be
