Water Compare
Something seems to be out of balance.
I’m not an accountant but it seems to me that the amount of water that run to a home or business should also be the same gauge that determines the charge for sewer use leaving a home or business since there doesn't seem to be any sewer meters hooked up to any homes or businesses.
I look at these figures and cannot seem to grasp why the sewer receipts went up over 13,000 dollars while the water receipts seems to go down over 40,000 dollars. This comparison is between the years 2008 in August and 2011 in January. I understand that it should have been a comparison between January and January but these are the figures that I had relatively handy.
I also cannot understand such a large drop in water receipts when Bicknell residents just recently suffered a water increase.
This may be something that is easily explained; why did Bicknell pay United Engineers $4,500.00 in January? What services are we still purchasing from them? Is there nothing that this company can do to Bicknell that will get them removed from the city payday? If I’m not mistaken weren’t they the cheerleaders for a 5 million dollar plant instead of a 3 million dollar plant? Weren’t they the company that spent all of that money lining sewer lines that didn’t need to be lined? Weren’t they the company that suggested a big hole should be dug in a residents yard to relieve the flooding caused by field runoff instead of a ditch to carry away the runoff?
Just some thoughts
