What do you suppose is the reason for the Bicknell paper having found so little news about Bicknell and so much news about Vincennes?

John; the reason we at The Independent haven't run more Bicknell news is the lack of coperation from most groups in the Bicknell area. V U sends news, as well others. The Independent would like to run local news (Bicknell) if we could get it. Thank you. P.S. The trial date for former Bicknell City Judge Any Moreland is July 21st at 9;00 am in Jim Osborne's court. With special Judge Gregg Smith from Daviess County.

That is true and thanks for the additional information; but on the other hand I have sent in several things concerning Bicknell and she will not publish it and didn't even publish a paid add that I gave to Frank, she runs a business and was backing her second father, Rod Mullins, during the last election. I made her mad because I told her Rod wasn't careful enough with business monies and would most likely get in trouble by spending money assigned to one department on something else.

On the other hand there is nothing stopping her from going to council meetings once or twice a month and writing her own stories or going to the Clerk's office to get any report she chooses and publishing them in her paper. I the past the Bicknell Paper went to all meetings, all parades, all sporting evernt and ever open meeting that concerned Bicknell where ever it was held.

The Bicknell papers problem is a shortage of money and that it is much easier to copy print from someplace else than it is to follow a story. She should either follow the stories by going herself or asking somebody else to go; I guess a third option would be to sell the paper to somebody who will. I must add that she did publish a story concerning the landlord tax that the mayor and city attorney wants the money from that Ron Ackman sent to her.
